Setelah invasi slow rock melayu sempat mewarnai industri musik Indonesia di awal 90an, jarang penyanyi pop Malaysia bisa berjaya di Indonesia. Beberapa nama seperti NORA atau NING BAIZURA sempat muncul dan sempat mengukir nama disini, tapi tidak berhasil mempertahankan eksistensinya. Praktis setelah SHEILA MAJID, belum ada lagi penyanyi pop Malaysia yang berhasil eksis dalam waktu lama di Indonesia. Celah ini rupanya yang coba diambil oleh IWAN SASTRAWIJAYA dari BLACKBOARD INDONESIA saat mengedarkan album SITI NURHALIZA di Indonesia. Siti saat itu adalah penyanyi baru di industri musik Malaysia yang sedang bersinar namanya. Album kedua siti yang di Malaysia berjudul SITI NURHALIZA 2, diedarkan di Indonesia dengan judul BETAPA KU CINTA PADAMU, sesuai dengan lagu andalan yang diciptakan oleh LY & Baiduri, serta Yusak sebagai penyempurna lirik dalam bahasa Indonesia. Insting Iwan memang benar. Kehadiran Siti berhasil mencuri perhatian penikmat musik di Indonesia. BETAPA KU CINTA PADAMU berhasil menjadi hits besar, disusul WAJAH KEKASIH yang juga berhasil menjadi hits. Di album ini Siti juga menyanyikan lagu COLOUR OF MY LOVE milik CELINE DION, juga versi Malaysia lagu BETAPA KU CINTA PADAMU yang dirilis disana dengan judul AKU CINTA PADAMU. Sukses Siti tidak hanya sampai disini, karena dia mampu bertahan cukup lama di industri musik Indonesia.
